Interpretation of Change in Rare Disease Training Course

Donated by

Rare-disease clinical development requires an approach to interpreting change that is both methodologically rigorous and flexible enough to address small samples, heterogeneous presentations, variable disease trajectories, and multiple respondent perspectives. Building on the FDA Patient-Focused Drug Development guidance in rare patient populations, this workshop will examine how patient-centered qualitative evidence and quantitative psychometric analyses can be integrated to establish meaningful change in clinical outcome assessment endpoints and support fit-for-purpose, totality-of-evidence regulatory decision-making.

What is included
Two 4-hour sessions, with all materials, focused on interpreting change in rare disease through PFDD guidance and endpoint evidence generation, with emphasis on the FDA’s rare-disease regulatory science framework, fit-for-purpose clinical outcome assessment and clinical endpoints, as well as totality-of-evidence decision-making.
