“My commitment to ISOQOL comes from a strong belief that measuring what truly matters to patients is key to advancing equitable, patient-centered care. Since attending my first Annual Conference in 2015, ISOQOL has played a major role in shaping my professional identity. That journey has been recognized through the Donna Lamping Emerging Leader Award and deepened through ongoing, meaningful involvement with the society.”

“ISOQOL’s mission is fully aligned with my work at EORTC, both as Associate Head of the QOL Department and member of the EORTC QOL Group. As one of the leaders in the field of QOL in cancer in various aspects, from development of QOL measures to methodological research to implementation in both clinical research and care, we have been working with ISOQOL very closely, with many members of the QOL Group presenting the results of their research at the Annual Conferences as well as serving important roles within ISOQOL.”

“I was first introduced to ISOQOL in 2006 through my PhD supervisor and past ISOQOL president, Professor Donna Lamping. Right from the outset I knew ISOQOL was the Society for me. I was fortunate to attend my first annual conference in 2007 in Toronto and since then ISOQOL has been a dear and valued part of my professional life. At this first conference I was so impressed with the professionalism and openness of the many leaders and luminaries whose work I was reading and citing in my thesis, and their willingness to engage and support me to develop professionally.”

“My involvement with ISOQOL began by attending its 2014 annual conference. I enjoyed it extremely, especially the mentor/mentee reception where I was teamed up with Prof. Forrest. I realized that QoL research was integral to health research and patient care which directly related to my work. I developed a strong passion for PROMs research, psychometrics, and implementation, which aligned with ISOQOL’s mission and vision.”
