Oral, oral brief, and poster abstract submissions are now closed.

Presentation Preference

When submitting an abstract, select all the presentation formats which you would like your research to be considered:

Primary and Secondary Applications for Abstracts

Select one Primary Application and up to three Secondary Applications for your presentation. A description of the Primary and Secondary Applications is noted below.

Primary Application

  1. Design and testing of measurement approaches 
    *Please Note: Also select a specific subcategory (a-e) below.
    a. Health economics/Cost effectiveness/utility measures
    b. Psychometric test development methods (classical, modern, DIF)
    c. Methodological work (aside from psychometric and economic; e.g. qualitative studies, response shift)
    d. Patient-centered outcomes/Patient-reported experience measures
    e. Cross-cultural validation/Translation
  2. Observational studies (longitudinal/cross sectional/surveys)
  3. Intervention studies (e.g. RCTs, natural experiments)

Review Process

Oral, oral brief, and poster abstracts undergo a double blind peer review led by the Scientific Program Planning Committee. Abstracts are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Quality
  • Relevance
  • Originality and feasibility
  • Data readiness/completeness/availability
  • Level of interest to conference attendees

Abstract Acceptance Notification

After the submission deadline, the presenting author will receive an acceptance notification and session assignment to the e-mail address used during abstract submission. If you have not received a notification e-mail by 14 June 2019, contact

Accepted abstracts will be assigned to a specific presentation time. All presenters must use the online submission acceptance form to confirm their intention to present by 24 June 2019 in order to be included in the conference program.
